Copper Processing

Copper processing is an innovative and compilation art that, despite the low aged, has found many popularities amongst fan art and artists. Unlike canvas, copper is an absolutely good choice for this art. Detailed, hard, and solid surface of copper is remarkably adequate for painting with detail. Copper equally causes a non-absorbent surface. This copper property causes thin layers of color to look better and bolder. Copper is also more durable and lasting than wood or canvas. In addition, paintings on copper typically have better durability than paintings on other surfaces. These ordinary reasons are well enough for artists to invent such an art named copper processing.

The following preparation steps for copper processing art

Copper painting preparation is done in four steps:

First Stage: Bending

At this stage, containers and copper objects which should have a high thickness and resistance, entered into the bending and processing phase for converting to the desired form.

High accuracy at this stage helps to elegant and beauty of containers and on top makes painting on that be easy.

Second Stage: Create a pattern on copper    

Based on the type of copper application and also customers’ requests, masters of this art finely use various patterns like flower bushes, flower and chicken, xetay, abniyeh, Islamic patterns and more.

Third stage: Painting on copper and polishing the dishes

After the designs have been painted with the desired colors, which are often blue and green, it is time to polish the dishes by rubbing them.

In order to distribute the paint used evenly in all parts of the craft, a specific device is used in this step.

Fourth Step: Copper processing veneer

The use of a polyester covering to protect the copper processing design from impact and damage is the last step of the copper painting  art.

The use of polyester covering prevents the oxidation of copper, avoids its discoloration, and also increases the strength and durability of the final product.
